I wasn’t sure if I could manage to deliver every single day. Sometimes, I wish the execution could be better but I’ve learned during the process that whatever happens has already happened and I should move on.

The best way to create something truly authentic is through the most unfiltered version of yourself. To find your authentic expression, you have to be confident in your own strengths and values, and listen to your gut.

I played with distortion, psychedelic colours, and blur. Through the creative process, I got reminded of the importance of adapting myself to new situations.

It was hard to stand still in the noises of the city. But during lockdowns, when the whole world was slowing down, we found the balance of our inner self again.

It took a lot of trial and error, paired with patience, to reach an understanding of the business side of things. The more time you take to design a typeface, including its technical and marketing aspects, the better it gets.

During lockdown I started to cook more at home than I ever did. So I’ve been implementing more home made meals and less restaurant outings.

The process of drawing, the effect of light and shadow, the influence of water, and change was at the heart of this project. I’ve come to see the environment as a process, a continuously changing one, often unveiling entirely new possibilities.

Don’t let your ego hold you back. Once I freed myself of my emotional attachment, I was able to admire how it’s composed of two separate forms that can be moved and arranged in dynamic ways.

Once a concept truly makes sense and fits the story, the process of making suddenly becomes exciting and inspired.

Though I was initially sceptical, the change of colour brought the object once again closer to me and gained novel meaning without diluting the original design.

I published the inaugural issue of the PRESENT magazine in the summer of 2019 and planned to print the second issue during 2020.
