Five Quick Questions: Nadine Goepfert

Five Quick Questions: Nadine Goepfert

1. WHAT’S ON YOUR CURRENT PLAYLIST?

Roc Marciano, Dorothy Ashby, Freddie Gibbs, Shuggie Otis, Sun Ra.

2. SOMETHING ABOUT YOU THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW?

Tough question for me to answer—maybe that I played handball for almost 15 years.

3. A RECENT PURCHASE THAT YOU REALLY ENJOY?

A while ago I bought a shirt. Well, I thought it was a shirt, but it was sold as a jacket. When I brought it to the dry cleaners, the woman said: “The cleaning of the blouse is 3 Euro.” When I went to pick it up, she said: “I am sorry, I have to charge you extra, because my boss considers the garment a blazer.” At the airport, security asked me to take off my jacket though.

I love the universal significance of this garment; it makes me smile so often.

4. WHAT HABIT ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPLEMENT OR GET RID OF AT THE MOMENT?

5. A BOOK THAT CHANGED YOU?

There are many. One I loved, which I’ve just recently read is The Years by Anni Ernaux.
