Five Quick Questions: Merjin Hos

1. WHAT’S ON YOUR CURRENT PLAYLIST?

Center Parcs LP by Betonkust & Palmbomen II and Long Wave by Bonny Doon. Two completely different things for different moods.

2. SOMETHING ABOUT YOU THAT PEOPLE WOULD BE SURPRISED TO KNOW?

I like to work alone in total in silence with curtains closed.

3. A RECENT PURCHASE THAT YOU REALLY ENJOY?

The Democratic Forest, Selected Works—William Eggleston

I have already known the photographer for many years but never bought a book. I like flipping through the pages of this book during a Sunday morning breakfast.

4. WHAT HABIT ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPLEMENT OR GET RID OF AT THE MOMENT?

To be more focused on one subject project at a time to get the most out of it.

5. A BOOK THAT CHANGED YOU?

A book from Futura 2000, who is a graffiti pioneer. The first art book I have ever bought, and it gave me, coming from graffiti, a direction into illustration and design. I was really inspired by his work for Mo Wax. When I bought the book, everything suddenly made sense. I think this was in 2000, I remember spending all my money on it at the time.
